Interns in Romania

This past week in Romania has been a wonderful experience. We were working with the Community Development Center in Tarnievni. This is a preschool/kindergarten program for the children in the poorest part of Tarnievni. Each day was spent doing a Vacation Bible School with the children. In the mornings we had the younger ones 3-7 and in the afternoon their older siblings 8-12. Each of these children are such a blessing. To see their smiles each morning, to hear them sing or to say the Lord's Prayer together before lunch.
One little girl in particular captured my heart, little Denisa. She was such a joy. She loved to come and sit your lap and hold your hand.
The favorite part of the week was on Thursday we got to go to the Zoo in Targu Mures with 45 preschoolers. This was the first time they had been out of their town. It was such a blessing seeing the look of excitement on their faces as they saw the animals. Or hearing their giggles as 2 bear cubs wrestled in the water.
This past week was truly a blessing to us. You could see it in their faces that the Community Development Center is truly a blessing to those children as well.
