We went back to Los Pinos to the church to finish what we started (or half-finish). In total we laid 483 square feet of tile, even though Chris said we couldn't count the one that came up. Pastor Morales was so impressed with the women in our group because they worked just as hard as Jeff:) Just kidding they worked as hard as all the guys, and he was impressed because Guatemalan women would not do that kind of work. They are very good with a trowl!
After lunch, that was brought to us by our favorite Guatemalan Chicken establishment, Pollo Campero, we finished the half of the floor we were working on.
Finally we came down the stairs, slowly I might add, to finish passing out shoes to the kids from the CO-OP school. We handed out 80 pairs of shoes and wash 80 pairs of feet, by the Grace of God!The kids were great and we were able to connect with a few of them. Ashley was able to connect with a girl who was having family issues, and she was able to take her aside and with the assistance of Jenny our interpreter, was able to get the proper people involved. Pastor Morales and Buckner are going to follow up with the issue.

Pastor Morales was so grateful for all our help, but he also wanted to get in on the action:
At the end of our day at the church, we were all tired and kind of ready to leave, but God always has a way to humble you and show his blessings. We came to serve these people and the ministries of this church, but they blessed us and up lifted our spirits. They gave each of us a present and prayed with us before we left. I was floored by their graciousness and humble servant-like attitudes. This church is truly doing community and showing God's Love.
